In our first contribution to an academic publication as a company, we teamed up with the Kapitein lab to explore how expansion microscopy is pushing beyond the traditional ~4× limit, unlocking new ways to visualise biological structures at increasingly fine detail.
In this review we highlight the latest strategies to achieve higher expansion factors, from advances in hydrogel chemistry to iterative expansion workflows. We also discuss key practical considerations, trade-offs between different approaches, and future directions for making high-resolution imaging more robust and accessible.
We’re excited to build on this foundation and continue contributing to the future of high-resolution imaging!
